When the JCC’s Double-Twelve race was held at Brooklands on 9th and 10th May 1930, several enthusiastic amateur drivers asked the MG factory to prepare special M types for that race. The cars were modified to make them compliant with the Brooklands’ regulations; this included fitting an external exhaust system with Brooklands silencer, cutaway doors, and a 9 gallon fuel tank.
This illustration shows a typical example of the car that took part in the race including authentic livery. You can see an example of this car at the Brooklands museum.
An ideal gift or a treat for yourself, or any MG enthusiast, perfect for the office, living room, den or garage!
