The MG midget was produced by the MG Car Company in Abingdon, England from 1961 and 1979 and was developed from the Austin-Healey "Frogeye" Sprite. It featured a compact 2 seater body and initially used the BMC A-series engine with capacities ranging from 948cc to 1100cc and this was replaced in the Midget 1500 which also featured plastic (more commonly called rubber) bumpers to meet US legislation.
