The Mini was arguably the most influential British car of the 20th century and this was due in no small part to the Cooper S variant and its success in international rallies. The Cooper S won the Monte Carlo rally in 1964 with Paddy Hopkirk at the wheel, and the car repeated the feat in 1965. In 1966, despite winning on the road, the Mini was disqualified from the event on a technicality, some say because the organisers wanted a French car to win. A Citroen won the event!
This illustration mimics the 1966 winning car and includes various details such as full rally lighting, mudflaps, and the roof rack to hold spare tyres!.
An ideal gift or a treat for yourself, or any Mini enthusiast, perfect for the office, living room, den or garage!
