The Lotus Type 47 was developed from the company’s Europa road car which featured a mid-mounted Renault 1500cc engine. The Type 47 was designed for racing and used a twin cam Ford Cosworth engine. This gave performance of 0-60 in less than 5 seconds and a top speed of around 165 – considerably better than the Europa!
This drawing shows a version that won its class in the 1968 BOAC 500 race held at Brands Hatch. The drawing includes a helmet design in keeping with the period.
An ideal gift or a treat for yourself, or any Lotus enthusiast, perfect for the office, living room, den or garage!
Print size: A3 (420mm x 297mm) printed on 170gsm white silk paper.
