The MGB is probably the most ubiquitous british sports car ever made and remains one of the most popular classic cars. Built from 1962 to 1980 in Abingdon, England, the car replaced the MGA and was MG’s first foray into the now-common monocoque construction.
More than 500,000 MGBs were sold with the majority being exported. Both roadsters and coupes (named the MGB-GT) were produced and used the tried and tested B-series engine.
There were three major revisions to the model with the most obvious happening in 1976 when the chrome bumpers were replaced with plastic (but named rubber) bumpers to comply with US legislation.
This illustration shows a chrome-bumper roadster from 1974 with rostyle wheels and honeycomb grille
An ideal gift or a treat for yourself, or any MGB enthusiast, perfect for the office, living room, den or garage!
